Tears streamed down both our cheeks as I hugged my friend goodbye today.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

A Bible verse that, until this week, has been reserved in my brain for deaths, depression or things like that. I don't think that I ever associated it with friendships before.

I do now.

Through my tears and exposed emotions, I have felt my heart break. For months I've known this day was coming. I protected my heart.

Denial.

It doesn't last forever.

Love does though.

I love you, my friend.
